Beta Epsilon Chapter meets
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Beta Epsilon Chapter
will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Shadow Hills home of Jill
Lloyd. The theme is “Celebrate Our Roots -- Our Chapter Founders.”
Program leaders Dorie Beaumont, Helen VonSegren and Shirley Mae
Ricketts will present a retrospective on the chapter’s evolution from
its beginning in 1949 to now.
Woodbury organizing annual fashion show
Woodbury University students are coordinating the 39th annual gala
fashion show “Metropolo: A Mid-century Night’s Dream” on May 4 at the
Millennium Biltmore Hotel, 506 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m., with a cocktail and dinner
reception for fashion show sponsors to follow at 7 p.m. The
outstanding work of Woodbury’s fashion-design students will be
showcased against an evolving background of urban landscape.
Amber Benson, who plays Tara in the TV series “Buffy the Vampire
Slayer,” will be mistress of ceremonies.
Admission is $50, with a VIP package that includes the show,
cocktails and dinner available for $150. Proceeds fund scholarships
and benefit Woodbury’s vintage fashion collection. To order tickets,
