SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT

* 300 block of North Victory Boulevard: A 19-year-old Montebello

man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted kidnapping after

allegedly trying to force his ex-girlfriend into his car. The man

approached the victim, a 19-year-old Burbank woman several times,

before eventually grabbing her and pulling her toward his car. People

in the area called police, who arrived and arrested him before he

could get her in the car.

* 500 block of South Varney Street: A 24-year-old Burbank man was

arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing a loaded handgun. Police

noticed him parked in an alley and searched his car, where they said

they found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun on the passenger seat.

* 200 block of East Magnolia Boulevard: A 19-year-old North

Hollywood man reported Monday he was robbed at gunpoint. He was in

his car in a parking garage when a man pulled a car in behind him,

approached the window wielding a handgun and demanded his wallet. The

victim gave the man his wallet and the keys to his car, and ran into

the Media City Center.

RANCHO DISTRICT

* West Alameda Avenue and Lamer Street: A 78-year-old Burbank

woman reported Monday she was robbed of her wallet. She told police a

man walked up to her car and asked her for money. When she pulled out

her wallet, the man reached into her car, grabbed the wallet and ran

away.

MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH

* 1500 block of North San Fernando Road: A 41-year-old Los

Angeles man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of pushing a 52-year-old

Burbank woman and stealing her groceries. The woman was pushing her

groceries home in a cart when the man approached and pushed her

against a wall. He took the cart and began to run away, but the

woman’s screams caught the attention of nearby police officers, who

arrested him.
