The block party he threw last year was such a success, Assemblyman
Dario Frommer (D-Burbank) has decided to do it again this weekend at
Johnny Carson Park.
Frommer and the city of Burbank are inviting the public to attend
the legislator’s Behind the Scenes Community Block Party from 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Saturday at Johnny Carson Park, 400 S. Bob Hope Drive.
“It’s an opportunity for residents to come and spend a day in the
park, meet other folks and learn about services and activities that
are going on in Burbank,” Frommer said. “It’s also a chance for me to
talk to folks and learn their concerns.”
The party includes free food and drinks, events for seniors, free
fingerprinting and face painting for children and booths and
activities for the family. Representatives from local organizations
and businesses will be on hand to provide free information and
prizes.
Sponsors include SBC, Boys and Girls Club of Burbank, Burbank Fire
Fighters Local 778, Burbank Kiwanis for Fun, Charter Communications,
NBC, The Gas Company, Total Entertainment, State Farm Insurance and
Independent Textiles.
Food will be donated by Burbank Kiwanis for Fun, Sunrise to
Sunset, Hometown Buffet, Krispy Kreme and Nestle.
