Russell Loguzzo, son of Tony and Pam...

Russell Loguzzo, son of Tony and Pam Loguzzo of Burbank, has been

awarded a scholarship by the Best Buy Children’s Foundation. A 2003

graduate of John Burroughs High School, he plans to attend Cuesta

College next fall.

Alexandra Brett Olin, daughter of Jon and Dorothea Olin of

Burbank, recently graduated cum laude from UC Riverside with a

bachelor’s degree in studio art.

Michael Jeffery Jonas, son of Jeff and Judy Jonas of Burbank, has

graduated from the New York University School of Medicine. He and his

wife, Jenni, have moved to Indianapolis, Ind., where he will be

conducting his residency at the Indiana University School of

Medicine.

Shandi Ladner of Burbank, made the dean’s list for the spring

semester at Loyola University New Orleans.

Leonel Flores of Burbank graduated from DeVry University in West

Hills with a bachelor’s degree in technical managemen.

Jasmine Taylor, a native of Burbank, graduated cum laude from the

University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and

sports science.

She has been accepted to the master’s program at UC San Francisco

and will pursue a degree in physical therapy.

The daughter of Marta Carroll of Burbank and Charles Taylor of

Valencia, Jasmine is a 1999 graduate of John Burroughs High School.

Adam Marca, the son of Gary and Julie Marca of Burbank, has

graduated cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earning a

bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in

economics and concentration in management and finance.

While at Cal Poly, Adam was active for three years in the

new-student orientation program and was a member of the Ultimate

Frisbee team for four years, and president and team captain for two

years. Adam graduated from Burbank High School in 1999.

Saba Mokhtari of Burbank has graduated from Northcentral

University Online (NCU), a regionally accredited online

degree-granting institution. Mokhtari earned a master’s degree in

psychology, with a specialization in general psychology.

Burbank residents who graduated from the University of Oregon are

Ricardo Juarez, who received his doctor of jurisprudence, law; and

Wasin Kemkomnerd, who received a master’s degree in interior

architecture.

Melanie A. Meyer and Jeff Meyer, both financial associates with

the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans office in Burbank, have earned

the honor of membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, an

international, independent association of leading life insurance

producers.
