Artists ‘together’ in exhibit

“Getting It Together,” an exhibit of works by Ruth Banarer, June

Schnitzer and Loraine Veeck, opens with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday at the Creative Arts Center Gallery.

The artists are members of Women Painters West and Collage Artists

of America.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9

a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. For more

Painter Richard Lithgow received Best of Show in the art exhibit

during the Toluca Lake Art Faire.

Other winners were Hong Rubinstein, ceramics, first place; Lynn

Christopher, painter, second place; Andra Glover, painter, third

place; Carolyn Counnas, mono-prints painter, Sheriff’s Award; and

Hong Rubinstein, ceramics, Mayor’s Award.
