ROBERT A. FISHER

Robert A. Fisher, 77, died Oct. 4, 2003, in Washington.

He was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Burbank and lived in the city for

more than 40 years.

He worked as a plumber throughout the San Fernando Valley. He was

a member of the Elks Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Roberta

Espinoza; and a grandson.

Services were private.

ELIZABETH CAROLINE ENGELHARD

Elizabeth Caroline Engelhard, 72, died Oct. 18, 2003, in Burbank.

She was born May 20, 1931, in Chicago.

Mrs. Engelhard is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Anthony,

Michael and Richard; and four grandchildren.

The services were Thursday at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic

Church. Valley Funeral Home was in charge of direction.

MILDRED M. ROHWER

Mildred M. Rohwer, 83, died Oct. 20, 2003, in Burbank.

She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Custar, Ohio.

She taught English and science at Jordan Middle School and John

Burroughs High School from 1949 until her retirement in 1987.

She was a member of the Glendale Presbyterian Church. She also

volunteered at Kaiser Hospital, contributing more than 3,000 hours of

service to the neonatal intensive care unit.

Mrs. Rohwer is survived by her sons, Herb and Walt; five

grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made

to the donor’s charity of choice.

WILLIAM PATRICK RUIZ

William Patrick Ruiz, 42, died Oct. 16, 2003, in Burbank.

He was born June 18, 1961 in Denver.

He worked as a fire-extinguisher installer.

Mr. Ruiz is survived by his parents, Francis and William;

daughters, Samantha Dorton and Brittney Ruiz; brother, Michael;

sister, Belen Whitaker; and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian burial was Thursday at Valley Funeral Home.

Valley Funeral Home was in charge of direction.

ALFRED LEON TANNER

Alfred Leon Tanner, 81, died Oct. 17, 2003, in Sun Valley.

He was born May 28, 1922, in Carrier Mills, Ill., and lived in

Burbank for 15 years.

He worked as a machinist for Lockheed for 31 years. He was a World

War II veteran.

Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Ron and Tim;

daughter, Regina; and a grandson.

Services were Oct. 21 at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel and the

interment followed at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.

Valley Funeral Home was in charge of direction.

GREG MICHAEL VOSS

Greg Michael Voss, 47, died July 6, 2003, in San Francisco.

He was born June 9, 1956, in Burbank.

He was a Burbank High School graduate.

Mr. Voss is survived by his mother, Mary Voss.

The memorial service was Monday at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills,

Los Angeles.
