Board seeks committee members

Burbank school board members are sounding the call again for a

volunteer to serve on a committee that oversees how the school

district spends bond money.

The Committee Oversight Committee reviews proposed construction

projects that are to be paid for, wholly or in part, from bond

proceeds designed to rehabilitate Burbank’s public schools.

Committee members oversee construction proposals, budgets and

schedules, to assure that all projects are completed on schedule and

on budget. The committee acts in an advisory capacity and makes

recommendations to school board members who have the final say on the

projects.

Applications are available from the Office of the Superintendent

of Schools, 1900 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, or by calling 729-4422 to

request an application by mail.

Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Oct. 29.
