Burbank Temporary Aid Center names its officers

The Burbank Temporary Aid Center has named its officers for the fiscal year that started July 1.

Michael Walbrecht was elected chairman of the board. Walbrecht is vice president for studio and production at Warner Bros. and chaired the center’s building committee during recent construction of its new facility.

Journalist and actor Will Rogers was named vice chairman. Rogers chairs the center’s operations committee, which just completed an 18-month-long project crafting a policies and procedures manual for the agency.

Vicki Williams was elected as treasurer.

She has previously served as the board’s chair, works for the accounting firm of Larson and Rosenberger in Glendale and has been active in the National Charity League’s Burbank Chapter.

Burbank schoolteacher Jennifer Ranney was elected for the second consecutive year as secretary for the board.

Sheridan Landscaping honored for projects

Sun Valley-based landscape designer-contractor Sheridan Landscaping Inc. won three awards at the 49th Annual Beautification Awards Program for the San Fernando Valley chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Assn.

They received the awards for their work on three Burbank projects — the Barnheart residence, the Buford and Harlow residence and the Moll residence.

The ceremony was June 28 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
