Replica of Dorothy’s slippers auctioned off

Warner Bros. recently offered for auction interpretations of Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from “The Wizard of Oz,” valued at $10,000 each. The slippers were created by famed designers, including Jimmy Choo, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta and Gwen Stefani.

The auction benefited the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

‘Twilight’ giveaway for opening night

Burbank’s vintage-inspired fashion boutique Unique Vintage ( www.unique-vintage.com) is having a “New Moon” ticket contest.

Unique Vintage is giving away five pairs of tickets to the “Twilight” opening night at AMC Burbank.

The movie will premiere at 12:01 a.m. Nov. 20. To enter, contestants must e-mail meagan@unique-vintage.com and say why they are “Twilight’s” biggest fan.

New services for studio union employees

The Board of Trustees of Contract Services Administration Trust Fund, along with its sister organization, Contract Services Administration Training Trust, will host an open house from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 2800 Winona Ave.

The nonprofits provide services, training and studies for those working under collectively bargained agreements between the studios and the below-the-line unions and guilds.
