Baseball results from the Burbank Parochial League.

A DIVISION

St. Finbar Phillies 11, St. Francis Giants 8: The Phillies beat the Giants with seven of their 11 runs scored in the fourth inning on five hits, including a home run by Anthony Rios. Matthew Schwartz smashed a monster solo home run in the fifth inning to seal the win for the Phillies.

St. Finbar Phillies 8, St. Finbar Pirates 3: In the first game of a Sunday doubleheader for the Phillies, pitchers Thomas Savich, Danny Bustos and Casey Ueno combined to limit the Pirates to three runs, while the Phillies offense came up with timely hits to capitalize on walks and Pirates errors.

St. Finbar Phillies 6, St. Roberts Mets 3: The Mets struck first, scoring all three of their runs in the first inning to shut out the Phillies through three innings. But the Phillies’ bats would not be silenced, as they scored all six of their runs in the fourth inning.

St. Francis Angels 3, St. Roberts Mets 1: Singles by Alex Engelman, Sebby Santoro and Chad Taylor scored the first two runs of the game for the Angels. Michael Wilson’s double in the fourth inning scored the third run. Pitchers Brayton Hammerli, Jack Garland and Sebby Santoro combined for a no-hitter for the Angels.

St. Francis Angels 5, St. Francis Giants 4: Salvador Johnson pitched a solid game for the Angels through five innings, striking out six. Alex Engleman and Eddie Talamontes each had base hits. First baseman Jack Garland had a double in the third inning for an RBI. Bradley Peppmuller hit an RBI-double in the fourth inning then hit into a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning to drive in the winning run.

B DIVISION

St. Francis White Sox 10, St. Patrick’s Twins 8: The White Sox came from behind with six runs in the third inning to pull off the win. Danny Porras and Daniel Linares each had a triple. Jack Bunt and Jarren Contreras had two RBI singles each. Nick Mercado added two hits and two RBI to help pull off the win.

St. Patrick’s Cardinals 3, St. Finbar Phillies 2: Daniel Tellez smashed a two-run double for the Cardinals. The Phillies tied it up and held the Cardinals scoreless until the last inning when Erik Saucedo walked and stole three bases to score the winning run for the Cardinals.

St. Francis White Sox 6, St. Roberts Mets 1: Danny Porras pitched four masterful innings and added two hits to lead the White Sox. Mitchell Lefevre reached base three times, while Marco Angrisani and Jarren Contreras each had two hits. Sarah Ehling and Branden Garcia each added key base hits for the White Sox.

St. Finbar Orioles 7, St. Roberts Mariners 5: Brandon Mersola’s one-out single in the top of the fifth inning scored James Kurtzman with the go-ahead run, breaking open a 5-5 game with two runs in the inning for the victory. Pitcher Mike Naughton struck out four batters in three innings. Ash Hawkins, Noah DeSimone and Mikey Napoli each had an RBI.

C DIVISION

St. Finbar Pirates 15, St. Francis Angels 8: With the Angels leading, 3-2, after two innings, the Pirates came alive with six runs in the third inning and seven runs in the fourth, capped off by an Aaron Kurtzman grand slam. Jacob Real secured the first Pirates’ win of the season in relief.

St. Roberts Mets 13, St. Finbar Phillies 3: Myles Ingles and Andres Salazar hustled and made great defensive plays for the Phillies in a losing effort.

St. Roberts Padres 8, St. Finbar Phillies 7: The Phillies started the game strong with five runs in the first inning. Joey Clark came in and pitched a solid three innings to close the gap and Steve Gonzalez hit a double to knock in two runs.

St. Francis Reds 28, St. Francis White Sox 18: The White Sox tried their best but were unable to defeat the Reds, whose offense played well. Olivia Oberlander went four for four while Warren Fowler and Justin Robinson went three for four and Donovan Sofio went two for three.

St. Francis White Sox 22, St. Finbar Orioles 11: Andrew Jaramillo made an outstanding double play and also went three for three to lead the White Sox. Brandon Kim, Warren Fowler and Justin Robinson were each four for four. Antonio Franco was two for three, while Brandon Aghakhanian was three for three with a triple.

St. Finbar Phillies 30, St. Patrick’s Yankees 7: The Phillies’ Ryan Santa Cruz doubled and hit his first home run of the season. Vincent Sandoval hit a double, triple and two home runs while Kyle Arnal hit a double and home run to help win the game.

St. Roberts Mets 5, St. Finbar Phillies 3: The Phillies’ Michael West pitched three solid innings, striking out three in the first inning and leaving the bases loaded for the Mets. Myles also had his first hit of the season and scored a run.

St. Patrick’s D-Backs 14, St. Francis Reds 5: A three RBI double from Joseph Augustineanda key hit by Matthew Morenohelped the Reds post the most runs scored against the D-Backs this season. Jeffrey Fong made a fantastic play at third base tagging out a runner trying for a triple.

St. Francis Reds 10, St. Francis Angels 3: The Reds’ victory followed solid pitching by Cole Doyle, Joseph Augustine and Carter Kessinger. David Rizko had two key run-scoring hits while John Spellman posted a two-run scoring triple.

St. Patrick’s D-Backs 5, St. Francis Reds 4: The Reds led the first two innings of this close contest, scoring four runs in the top of the first. Jonathan Angel provided key defensive plays for the Reds in this second game of a doubleheader. Nick Walker and Matthew Porras were strong on the mound, giving up just five runs.

T-BALL DIVISION

St. Francis Indians 21, St. Patrick’s Yankees 9: Indians catcher Ryan Maddigan had a double and triple with three RBI. Right fielder Jonathan English made a spectacular defensive play when he picked up a passed ball behind first base and threw out the runner trying to steal second.

St. Finbar Phillies 35, St. Patrick’s Blue Jays 12: Dylan Shaw caught a ball for an out and made a number of good throws to get runners out at first base. Kiara Hernandez stopped the ball and stuck with it to hold a runner at first base. Angelo Toscano was able to hold a runner at second, and stopped every ball that came his way.

St. Roberts Padres 22, St. Patrick’s Dodgers 11: Roman Moretti made two great plays in the outfield for the Padres. Joshua Magoon received the game ball for making the final out of the game at third base.

St. Roberts Padres 16, St. Francis Giants 14: Ryan Davis hit his first home run of the season and Matthew Piamonte made the final out of the game at second base.

St. Roberts Mets 26, St. Francis Indians 9. Trevor Villagran had RBI and helped turn a double play and Rayna Dunnfor had an RBI and a great defensive play in the field.

St. Roberts Mets 19, St. Finbar Astros 7: Game balls were awarded to Brianna Estrada for her RBI and Austin Blacano for an exciting putout at first base and his hitting. Nicolo Chuildian had a home run and three RBI. The Mets are undefeated at 6-0.

St. Roberts Indians 21, St. Patrick’s Yankees 9: Iliana Mendez reached base three times with two doubles and a single. Robert Moeller and Dylan Martinez each reached base twice with a double and a single. Andrew Angelheart made a sensational double play.

St. Finbar Phillies 30, St. Patrick’s Yankees 7: Joseph Rodriguez hit two doubles and Christian Romero hit two singles for the Yankees. Andrew Angelheart made a sensational diving tag to get a runner out at third

St. Roberts Padres 16, St. Francis Giants 14: Ben Peresie, Ann Buffolino and Aiyden Kehrli of the Giants all went three for three in a close game that came down to the final inning.

St. Roberts Cardinals 15, St. Francis Giants 8: With only eight players dressed to play, the Giants played great defense, led by Andy Herrera A double play was turned in by Ethan Munoz.
