Man accused of crashing through studio security gate to be arraigned

The New York man accused of crashing a car containing bomb-making materials through a security gate at Warner Bros. Studio on Friday is scheduled to be arraigned in court Tuesday.

Michael Rodriquez-Cintron, 43, was arrested Friday afternoon shortly after crashing through the security gate and then driving back out a few minutes later. No one was injured in the incident.

Security officials pulled him over outside the gate and called in Burbank police, who brought in a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s bomb squad to investigate the late model Chevy Camaro.

Investigators discovered a duffle bag containing several bottles of flammable liquids and ignition sources that “could potentially be used to make a destructive device,” according to a notice issued by the police department. A replica of a firearm was also allegedly found inside the car.

Rodriquez-Cintron was booked on suspicion of possessing a destructive device and for having flammable or combustible materials.

Officials continue to investigate a possible motive for the trespassing incident.

Rodriquez-Cintron is scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles County Superior Courtroom in Burbank.
