The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.

Area 1

2200 block of Empire Avenue

At 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21, officers arrested four men on suspicion of identity theft, possession of narcotics and possession of stolen property. Officers on patrol in the Extended Stay America parking lot noticed a suspicious vehicle with three men inside. None of the men had identification and gave conflicting information to the officers. Narcotics were found inside. The officers were led to the room the men were staying at and found a fourth man inside, as well as fake driver’s licenses, blank checks and credit cards belonging to other individuals, paperwork with numerous Social Security numbers, dates of birth and credit reports belonging to other individuals.

1000 block of North Lima Street

Between 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and 10 a.m. Jan. 20, a residential burglary was attempted. The victim found a cut window screen and reported that a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a black beanie, black jacket and dark-colored jeans was acting suspicious in the area.

Area 2

2900 block of North Buena Vista Street

Between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 22, a residential burglary occurred. Someone pried a side window open and stole a safe containing gold and diamonds.

100 block of East Orange Grove Avenue

Between 7:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Jan. 20, someone broke into a 2003 Cadillac Escalade and removed its third-row seats. It appears the driver’s door lock was punched.
