Burbank police take back 250 pounds of substances
Burbank police and members of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) collected close to 250 pounds of old medicines, vitamins , unknown pills and prescriptions Saturday during National Prescription Drug Take-back Day in Burbank.
Authorities have been promoting the drop-offs as a safe way to rid homes of unwanted drugs, instead of introducing them to water supplies by flushing them down toilets, or leaving them in reach of children and teens.
Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick said he is pleased with the results from the collection.
