Donors drink beer to support homeless nonprofit

Share

Donors drank beer to raise money for the city’s homeless and struggling households at the “WinterBok Tapping Event” Tuesday evening.

The fundraiser at Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery in Burbank was for the Burbank Temporary Aid Center, which provides assistance for the city’s working poor, homeless and seniors. The City Council, for the eighth consecutive year, declared November BTAC month.

The WinterBok event is one of BTAC’s most popular fundraisers, and one of several events citywide to support the nonprofit. Gordon Biersch’s WinterBok made its 2011 premier appearance at the tasting event, which includes raffles and auctions to benefit BTAC.
