Burbank dedicates $1.7 million greenway project

Residents of the Lake Alameda community joined Burbank officials to celebrate the opening of the Lake Alameda Greenway Project on Saturday.

Mayor Jess Talamantes along with city and county officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the $1.7 million project that brings park-like amenities to the neighborhood.

The project features a quarter-mile pedestrian path, landscaping, doggy stations and connectivity to major thoroughfares.

The project was funded by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and the City of Burbank.
