Burbank Tournament of Roses Association to host design contest for 2013 float

The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association has their eyes set on the 2013 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and is hosting a design contest.

Designs should be submitted by Jan. 25 and guidelines are available on the group’s web site, https://burbankrosefloat.com/forms/DESIGN13.pdf.

The association’s board of directors will select at least four designs and members will vote on the final design, according to the association’s web site.

A “hint” for the 2013 parade theme describes it, in part, as “whimsical and childlike while equally relevant to all ages. It reminds us that every journey begins with a first step, and that making a difference in one’s own life and in the lives of others can begin again at any point along our life’s path,” according to the Burbank Tournament of Roses.
