No arrests made during DUI checkpoint in Burbank
Of the nearly 860 vehicles that were stopped Saturday night as part of a DUI checkpoint in Burbank, no drunk driving arrests were made, according to police.
The checkpoint, which took place on Hollywood Way north of Winona Avenue from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., did yield nine citations, including seven to drivers who were driving without a license, police said.
No vehicles were impounded.
A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration funded the checkpoint.
