Thousands of painkillers stolen in Burbank pharmacy burglary

Thousands of prescriptions pills were stolen overnight Thursday from GlenOaks Pharmacy in Burbank, police said.

Burglars broke a rear glass door sometime between Wednesday evening and early Thursday to gain access to the pharmacy in the 300 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The thieves got away with 3,700 prescription painkillers, he said.

An investigation into the incident was ongoing.
