Caltrans announces new round of 5 Freeway ramp closures through Burbank

Another round of periodic off-ramp closures along the 5 Freeway corridor in Burbank start Monday.

The California Department of Transportation announced the following closures for Nov. 26 through Nov. 30 as part of a $57.8-million project to construct HOV lanes in each direction along the 5 Freeway between Ventura (134) Freeway and Magnolia Boulevard:

Golden State (5) Freeway
*Southbound I-5, eastbound and westbound Alameda Avenue off-ramp closure will last approximately 60 days. It is expected to open on the week ending, Jan. 12, 2013.

- Northbound I-5 Eastbound and Westbound Olive Avenue/Verdugo Avenue off-ramps: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Southbound I-5 Eastbound and Westbound Alameda Avenue off-ramp: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (60-day closure); and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Southbound I-5 Eastbound and Westbound Alameda Avenue on-ramp: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On- and off-ramps along the 5 Freeway through Sunland Valley will also be affected by periodic closures this week.
