Just before 8:30 p.m., the man – who police did no identify -- was knocked out of his wheelchair while crossing at Olive Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard.

The driver of the BMW that hit him – identified by police as Irina Sarafyan, 38 -- drove off, but was chased down by a witness before eventually pulling over, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The victim, who suffered multiple cuts, was hospitalized after complaining of pain to his complete right side, Ryburn added.

Sarafyan, a Burbank resident, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run. She was released after posting $50,000 bail and is due in court next month.
