A 25-year-old pregnant woman with a 3-year-old son was arrested Saturday after police allegedly found suspected ecstasy and marijuana in her Burbank hotel room, police said.

Just after 7 a.m., police approached a man – identified as Ronald Keykendall, 29 – to cite him for smoking outside the Extended Stay hotel in Burbank, said Burbank Police Officer Cindy Guillen.

Officers discovered a warrant for Keykendall’s arrest, and reported finding a bag of suspected ecstasy and a room key on him, Guillen said.

With consent, police searched the hotel room, where the woman, Kristin Arellano, was with her 3-year-old son. Arellano was seven months pregnant, Guillen said.

In the room, police reportedly discovered a scale and suspected ecstasy and marijuana in an open suitcase on the floor, “readily accessible to the child,” Guillen said.

The suspects were booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales and are each being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

The relationship between the pair is unknown, Guillen said.

The 3-year-old boy was placed into protective custody by the Department of Child Services.
