Woman suffers head injuries after being hit by truck

A 58-year-old woman sustained head injuries Saturday night after being struck by a pick-up truck while crossing the street in Burbank, police said.

The woman, who was reportedly in stable condition on Monday, was crossing Andover Drive at Glenoaks Boulevard just before 9:30 p.m. when she was hit by the truck, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The impact caused the pedestrian to fall backward and hit her head on the asphalt, Ryburn said.
The 17-year-old motorist was not cited at the scene, Ryburn said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
