Police are investigating a residential burglary in which a Burbank home was reportedly ransacked while its residents were on vacation.

Between Nov. 26 and Dec. 4, thieves broke into a home in the 1100 block of Parish Place and stole three paintings, alcohol, jewelry, cash and two watches, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The burglars broke in by forcing open the front sliding window, and apparently left through the front door as the door was found unlocked, Ryburn added.

The suspects went through the closets and drawers looking for items, leaving the home ransacked.

Anyone with information on the crime is urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
