More than 200 marijuana plants were seized by police Friday from a “sophisticated” grow operation in Burbank, police said.

A 39-year-old Burbank man, identified by police as Arsen Sarkisyan, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales after police recovered the plants, along with lighting and ventilation equipment, from two buildings in the 100 block of East Prospect Avenue, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Investigators obtained a search warrant at the two locations after receiving a tip about the possible grow house on Friday.

The plants, which police said were found in various stages of growth, were brought to the Burbank police station, which on Tuesday reeked of marijuana.
