Burbank man arrested in connection with double-stabbing

A 24-year-old Burbank man was arrested in connection with the double-stabbing on Saturday afternoon that left two men hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.

The suspect, identified by police as Eric Petrossian, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn, in a statement.

Petrossian was released after posting $30,000 bail and is due in court next month.

The victims, both in their early 20s, were hospitalized after they were each stabbed multiple times. One of the men underwent emergency surgery on Saturday evening.

Police responded to the 1000 block of East Angeleno Avenue at about 3:50 p.m. Saturday following reports of a possible stabbing. When officers arrived they found both victims reportedly in a car outside one of their homes.

The stabbing, however, reportedly occurred several blocks away, near Sunset Canyon Drive and Orange Grove Avenue, Ryburn said.

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3000.
