GIRLS’ GOLF

Burroughs, Burbank in Pacific League Match No. 3: Bulldogs’ freshman Irene Maemura tied for third and the Indians finished third as a team in Monday’s event at Hansen Dam Golf Course.

Maemura fired a one-over-par 37. Burbank, which placed sixth, also received scoring efforts from Haley Pirruccelo (43), Tess Apinchapong (44), Melanie Cho (51) and Sam Kim (62).

The Burroughs scorers were Ravipa Losakul (37), Joany Gao (39), Jasmine Daniel (42), Alex Chandler (45) and Tatiana Rizzotti (45).

Maemura also tied for medalist honors in the second league match Set. 19.

In the team scoring, Arcadia finished in first for the third straight match, accumulating 197. It was followed by Crescenta Valley (205), Burroughs (208), La Cañada (211), San Marino (224) and Burbank (237).

Through three contests, the Apaches (18 points) lead the league and are followed by the Indians (14), Falcons (11), Spartans (9.5), Titans (7.5) and the Bulldogs (three).

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Burbank d. Hoover, 25-16, 15-16, 25-10: The Bulldogs played well and cruised to a Pacific League victory Tuesday on the road.

Stphanie Eskander had seven aces and Reily Brennan added four aces for Burbank (3-1 in league).

YOUTH FOOTBALL

Burbank Vikings: Four of the tackle football teams were able to gain wins Saturday in Week 3 games.

The victorious squads were Senior Black (2-1) against Simi Red, 30-6, Junior Black (2-0) against Ventura Black, 38-8, Bantam Green (2-1) against Calabasas Silver, 26-0, and Pee-Wee Black (2-1) against Oxnard, 32-8.

Suffering losses was the Senior Gold (1-2) against Santa Clarita Valley Warriors, 54-20, Junior White (1-2) against Calibasas Silver, 40-0, Midget Black (2-1) against Oxnard Red, 8-0, Midget Green (2-1) against Ventura White, 18-16, and Pee-Wee White (1-2) against Santa Clarita Valley Warriors, 30-0.

Bantam Black (1-1) and Junior Green (0-2) had byes.
