Jared Papazian headlines Tachi Palace Fights card

Riding a two-fight winning streak in which he’s looked mighty effective, Jared “The Jackhammer” Papazian is looking to ride his wave of momentum north and pick up a belt along the way.

Papazian will face off with Russell Doane on Thursday night in the headliner for Tachi Palace Fights 17 “Fall Brawl” for the organization's interim bantamweight title at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore.

Papazian (17-10), a former King of the Cage champion and three-time Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran, trains at Burbank Gracie Barra under the tutelage of Alberto Crane and possesses an exciting stand-up game and reputation for putting on thrilling fights.

He’ll take on Doane (10-2), who’s won two of his last three bouts with both victories coming via finish. Doane was a replacement for UFC veteran Ian Loveland, who was set to defend his TPF title against Papazian initially, but was injured.

The fights will be streamed live on www.sherdog.com with the first bout scheduled for 6 p.m.
