Sports Roundup: Burbank girls’ basketball downs West Ranch

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Burbank 73, West Ranch 48: Fatima Cisneros finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds Thursday to spark the Bulldogs (7-3) in an opening-round game of the West Coast Holiday Classic at Burroughs High. Yazzy Sadullah added 22 points and five assists for Burbank, which got 17 points from Ashley Linda.

El Dorado 68, Burroughs 63 (overtime): The host Indians rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half, but fell Thursday in an opening-round game of the West Coast Holiday Classic. Paula Galicia had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Indians (5-5).

Davina Del Castillo had nine points, 13 rebounds, six steals and four assists for Burroughs, which received 14 points from Sidney Ortega.

The game was knotted at 63 through regulation time.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

St. Bonaventure 69, Burroughs 63: Amadd Wainwright collected a team-best 32 points Thursday for the Indians (6-3) in a Chaminade High Tournament contest.
