Sports Roundup: Guerrero has hat trick for Burbank girls’ soccer in win against Glendale

Burbank 5, Glendale 0: Clarissa Guerrero had a hat trick to pace the Bulldogs to a Pacific League victory on the road Tuesday.

Melanie Tirado and Michelle Morales also tallied goals for Burbank (11-4-3, 9-3-1 in league).

Burroughs 8, Muir 0: The Indians were able to roll to an easy victory on the road Tuesday in a Pacific League contest.

Seven players scored goals for Burroughs (8-9-2, 7-4-2 in league). Indians goalkeeper Taylor Bailey recorded her eighth shutout of the season.

Glendale 5, Burbank 1: The Bulldogs fell to 1-12 in the Pacific League with the loss at home Tuesday.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Burbank 48, Glendale 39: The Bulldogs notched their sixth win in a row in Pacific League play with the victory Tuesday at Glendale.

Yazzy Sa’Dullah paced Burbank (18-9, 10-3 in league) with 23 points to go along with seven rebounds and four steals. Teammate Samantha Ainian chipped in eight points and eight rebounds and Sharis Ghazeri had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Burroughs 52, Muir 37: Delaney Nicol had 14 points, six rebounds and eight steals to help lead the Indians to a Pacific League victory Tuesday on the road.

Burroughs (21-6, 9-3 in league), having already clinched the Pacific League championship, can secure an undefeated league campaign with a win at home Thursday against cross-town rival Burbank.

Jakarra Waddell added nine points, 10 rebounds and four assists and Paula Galicia chipped in 10 points and four steals for the Indians.
