Animal Rescue Benefit

Help Animal Crackers Pet Rescue in their much-needed work of finding good homes for abandoned pets at a benefit event from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Marine Room Tavern, 214 Ocean Ave., Laguna Beach. $25 suggested donation at the door, includes food, no-host bar, silent auction and raffle. Tom Osborne, state historian and environmental columnist, will be the featured speaker at the 10:30 a.m. service at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Laguna Beach, 429 Cypress Drive.
