Garden Club Meeting

The next Laguna Beach Garden Club meeting will feature author, landscape designer and Horticulture magazine contributing editor Rebecca Sweet. Church Sanctuary

Let’s Talk Chicken

Patricia Foreman, a chicken expert and co-host of “The Chicken Whisperer” radio show will present a seminar called “Gardening With and For Chickens” from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bluebird Canyon Farm on Bluebird Canyon Road. ‘Perceptions’ Dance Concert

More than 50 dancers from Laguna Beach High School will perform in the “Perceptions” dance show at 7:30 p.m. in the Artists’ Theatre. The types of dance featured include hip-hop, ballet and jazz. For tickets, call the box office at (949) 497-7769. Tickets are also available at the door.

Fantasy

The Sawdust Winter Fantasy ends this weekend. Take advantage of Sawdust Studio Art Classes and come view the 2011 holiday art show. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sawdust grounds, 935 Laguna Canyon Road.

Family Party

No Square Theatre will sponsor a party for families in need at 2 p.m. at Legion Hall, 384 Legion St. Santa Claus will entertain the kids while parents get to “shop” for items. Donated goods like clothing and toys will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 10 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 11. OC DimeStories

Laguna Beach Seniors Luncheon

Laguna Beach Seniors celebrate the holidays with their annual luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tivoli Terrace with a traditional turkey feast for $30 per person. Dance Journey

‘The First Grader’

The Laguna Beach Film Society presents “The First Grader” at 7 p.m. at South Coast Cinemas. The film is about an 80-something Kenyan freedom fighter who tries to get an education by joining a class of first-graders and is met with opposition. Tickets are $15 or $10 for students.
