Pet of the Week

Chowder may seem like an odd name, but considering the soft and creamy coat of this domestic medium-hair cat, the inspiration becomes readily apparent.

In November, with owners forced to move to a residence prohibiting animals, this mellow boy was surrendered along with a feline companion, who has since been adopted. Chowder is 6 years old and described as lovable, loyal and lazy, with a penchant for sitting on laps. Although fond of playing with toys, Chowder seems equally content to be catnapping. His former owners also noted that he gets along well with children and other cats.

Healthy and neutered, he is pleasingly plump at 15 pounds. Chowder would make a delectable addition to any cat-friendly household. His adoption fees are discounted 25% when this announcement is mentioned. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com. Always welcome are donations of cat toys, wet food, double-sided bowls and litter boxes.
