Milano’s to help raise funds

Milano’s Cucina Italiana is helping to raise money for the San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity during a fundraising lunch and dinner on Thursday.

Milano’s will donate a portion of its profits to the charity, which is building 11 homes on Kenwood Street in Glendale. Diners who mention the “Women’s Build-Kenwood Project” will receive a surprise gift when they arrive to eat.

The restaurant is at 525 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.

Lab to hold science symposium

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory is hosting the ninth Space Science Symposium for Small Business on Monday, June 5, at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. Interactive sessions will highlight business opportunities on future programs and missions. NASA and JPL support high-tech small businesses and are interested in expanding their pool of potential suppliers, spokesman Natalie Godwin said. The symposium is open to industry members, academics and small businesses only. Registration is $100 per person and places are limited to 250.
