The chorus will operate under the dual direction of Christin Cornell and Roxanna Ward and will start tuning up Sept. 11 in the band room at Thurston Middle School, 2100 Park Ave.

“Whether you’re a lifelong singer or never uttered a note, everyone is welcome,” said Steve Josephson, executive artistic director of Gallimaufry, who’s also teaching two classes for adults interested in studying acting.

The first class, Acting Technique, will offer its students work on monologues, scenes and improvisations, according to Josephson.

The class is held Monday nights from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach, 1085 Laguna Canyon Road.

The Scene Study class is designed for graduates of Gallimaufry’s Adult Acting class, in which students will continue their studies and enjoyment of acting by working on scenes with fellow actors.

This class also meets at the Boys and Girls Club, and new sessions of both classes are scheduled to begin Sept. 10.

Registration for both the singing and acting classes may be made at www.gallimaufry.info
