A man robbed a bank in the 300 block of 17th Street in Costa Mesa on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The robber entered the Wells Fargo branch about 3:30 p.m. and presented a note demanding money, said Sgt. Matt Grimmond of the Costa Mesa Police Department.

The man did not appear to be armed, Grimmond said.

Bank employees complied, and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash out the back of the building.
