Biz News: Get in the ‘Zone’ at open house

The Training Zone OC is hosting a combination fundraiser and open house from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at its studio, 333 E. 17th Street, Suite 18, Costa Mesa.

The public event will feature demonstrations, raffles, refreshments and a chance to try out classes, according to a news release. The Training Zone offers four workouts: hot yoga, spinning classes, boot camp and treadmill training.

Those who wish to try the classes must bring a $5 donation. All donations and proceeds from the raffle will go to Mariners Elementary School’s technology program, the release said.

Clean windows

The Fish Window Cleaning has opened at 4500 Campus Drive, Suite 365, in Newport Beach.

The location is owned by Newport Beach resident and UC Irvine alumnus Kevin May, who spent time training in Newport Beach and at the St. Louis-based headquarters, according to a news release.

“Windows are everywhere, and someone has to clean them,” May said in a prepared statement. “I look forward to meeting my residential and commercial neighbors and becoming the top, reliable provider for window cleaning needs.”

Vet is in

A new Banfield Pet Hospital is opening at 620 W. 17th St. in Costa Mesa, inside PetSmart.

The veterinary practice will have a grand opening Saturday, with light food and drinks, contests, giveaways, tours and “ask the vet” sessions, according to a news release.

The hospital will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, the release said. Staff veterinarians are Dr. Summer Wetzel and Dr. Jessica Raney. More information is available at banfield.com.

Healthy skin

Skin Laundry opens at Fashion Island on Thursday. The company offers 10-minute laser facials for men and women that are “designed to tighten and tone your skin,” according to a news release.

The laser technology gives people “healthier, more radiant and younger looking skin.” The service costs $75 for a single session and $186 for a monthly membership. However, potential clients can receive an initial complimentary treatment, the release said.
