LAGUNA BEACH — Kelsey Humphreys, Grace Kennedy and Mary McKennon led the way for the Sea Kings, who prevailed, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 25-14, in a nonleague road triumph Tuesday.
CdM (3-0) is ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division I-A. Laguna Beach is ranked No. 3.
CdM visits Back Bay rival Newport Harbor on Saturday.

NEWPORT COAST — Maggie Danner had nine kills, six digs and three aces to lead the host Lightning to the 25-15, 28-26, 25-22 nonleague win Tuesday.
Zoe Kreitenberg and Kekai Whitford had eight kills each for Sage (2-1), ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA.
Allie Mowrey had six digs for Sage.

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings started six players making their varsity debuts in Tuesday’s nonleague dual-match opener at Corona del Mar High.
CdM jumped out to a 5-1 lead after a round as freshmen Riley Gerdau and Shelby Anderson each won in singles. In key first-round doubles matches, McKenzie Purcifull and Sophia Chen rallied for a 7-5 victory, while seniors Catherine Keligian and Savannah Theis won, 6-4, at No. 3 doubles.
CdM (1-0) was without No. 1 player Lauren Thaxter, still recovering from heat-related issues as the team played at a tournament in Fresno over the weekend.

Newport Harbor 17, Mira Costa 1
NEWPORT BEACH — Sophomore Natalie Cernius and freshman Annie Radeva swept at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, to pace the host Sailors in the nonleague match Tuesday.
Cernius won, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1, while Radeva posted scores of 6-2, 6-0, 6-1.
Robin and Christina Young swept at No. 1 doubles, 6-2, 6-1, 6-1, for the Sailors (2-0), who play host to Peninsula Thursday at 3 p.m.
Orange 15, Estancia 3
COSTA MESA — Senior Christy Brown won two sets at No. 1 singles to pace the host Eagles in the nonleague match Tuesday.
Estancia (0-2) returns to action Wednesday at home against Tustin at 3 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Cassie Stevenson shot six-over-par 41 to pace the host Eagles in the nonleague match at the Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda course on Tuesday.
The Eagles (0-7) play Wednesday against Edison at Mile Square Golf Course.
