Robert John Bellis December 15, 1932 – May 29, 2012 Robert “Bob” Bellis was born in Schenectady, New York, the oldest son of John & Lena Bellis. Bob moved to Burbank, California in 1948. He proudly served his country in the Air Force in the early 1950’s. Bob was married to Leonora “Lee” Vacca, his wife of 53 years. He made his living as a commercial electrician and was a talented craftsman, as evidenced by the home he built for his family. He was a member of all three Catholic parishes in Burbank and could often be found volunteering his time where ever he was needed.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lee, three daughters Lorraine Mark, Linda Bellis and Laura Radleigh, his sons-in-law David Mark and Rick Byrnes; grandchildren Victoria Radleigh, Vanessa Schul, and Kevin Mark; and great grandson Eric Montez. The family thanks all of their friends and especially the parishioners of St. Robert Bellarmine for their many prayers during his long illness. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at Valley Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:30 PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church Burbank on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills.
