Share

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 27, 1936. Died in Glendale, California, December
28, 2012.

Her parents were Veronica and Nelson Williams. She moved to California in 1945, and was a resident of La Crescenta for 56 years after graduating from Eagle Rock High School. She is survived by Michael Richard Lomen, her husband of 58 years. He is retired from teaching and coaching at Eagle Rock High School. She is also survived by six daughters: Julie Peterson (Jeffrey), Cheryl Logan (Chris), Laurie Isenman (Scott), Wendy Lomen, Michele Rendler (Daniel), and Jennifer Hefner (James). She had 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her grandson Andrew Jeffrey Peterson in 1995.

While her six daughters attended La Crescenta schools from 1960 thru 1982, Fay was a passionate member of Dunsmore Elementary, Clark Jr. High, Crescenta Valley High, and Glendale Council PTAs and served several years as PTA President. One of her fondest memories was of the Spring Fashion Show at Dunsmore Elementary School, featuring her six daughters in matching outfits.

After raising her daughters, she worked at Audio Digest for 15 years.

Veronica (Fay) spent her time cooking, shopping and caring for her husband, children, and
grandchildren who brought a smile to her face every day. She loved to cook and read cookbooks as if they were novels. She visited nearby casinos to make “liberal deposits”.

In her final hours, Fay was surrounded by the most amazing love. Her loving husband, 6
daughters, and half of her grandchildren held her hand while she had a message for each
of them. When she had all her birds in her nest, she gracefully said goodbye. Prior to her
passing, she thanked all of the caregivers who cared for her during her final stay at the hospital.

There will be no public memorial service, per her request. In lieu of flowers the family has
requested a donation to Habitat for Humanity or to Midwest Athletes Against Children’s Cancer
(MACCFund.org) in the name of Andrew Peterson.
