Lois K. Solomon October 28, 1925 - February 28, 2013

Lois K. Solomon, 87, passed away peacefully of old age on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in San
Mateo, California. She was born on October 28, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Paul and
Elinore Kurtz.

Lois grew up in the Los Angeles area. She graduated from Hoover High School and attended
Glendale College. Lois married David Solomon in 1949. They were happily married for 45 years. Lois made her home and raised her family in Tujunga, California. She later returned to work for Glendale College in admissions and in purchasing until her retirement. She recently relocated to Walnut Creek, California. Lois enjoyed volunteer work and travel. She was a loving caregiver to family and friends and valued her many lifelong friendships.

Lois is survived by her two daughters, Sandra of Dixon, New Mexico, and Maril of Mount Vernon,
Washington; her son Steven of San Francisco, California; her granddaughter, Jamia Burns and
great granddaughter Ashley Burns.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elinore; her husband David; and her brother
David Kurtz.

At her request, no services will be held.
