Thomas F. Anderson, 68, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2013 in Thousand Oaks.

Tom was born in 1944 and grew up in Burbank, CA. He taught high school special education classes for over three decades.

In 1968 after earning two Master’s Degrees, Tom was awarded a fellowship to the University of Southern California. He earned a Doctorate Degree in Education in 1970 and returned to his real passion of teaching.

On August 30 this year, Tom and the love of his life, Carol, would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Maryann Anderson, and by his son Michael Deluca. Tom is survived by his wife, Carol, son Marty Deluca and wife Stacy, his daughter, Roxanne Bruner and husband Ben, granddaughters: Madison, Bailey, Alexandria, Jacqueline and nieces; Alicia, Maryann and Cassandra.

A true artist of learning with a rebel spirit Tom was admired by his family and scores of friends. He lived life at his own pace. His words were always thoughtfully chosen and spoken from the heart. He was quick to offer his help and amazing insights. His lifelong love of books resulted in him being an avid reader. He was also an animal lover, a golfer, world traveler and gardener. It is an understatement to report that he was a wonderful husband, a great father, an understanding grandfather, a supportive uncle and the best friend you could ever have. His entire family will treasure their memories of this remarkable, intelligent and generous loving man.
