M. Nadine Fitzsimmons was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 23,1923, to Edward A. Fitzsimmons and Elizabeth Henning Fitzsimmons. She attended Holy Family Grammar School and High School in Glendale, and graduated Immaculate Heart College in Hollywood with a teaching credential. She joined Los Angeles Unified School District, first teaching at Utah Street School in East Los Angeles, then transferred to Rosco Elementary in Sun Valley. She was well loved and respected by both the staff and the children. She taught for 37 years.

Nadine greatly enjoyed researching genealogy, and spent many years looking up our family history. Right up to the end, she regaled us with the many stories she delighted in telling.

Nadine was predeceased by her Father, Mother, brothers Jack and Bob Fitzsimmons, and sisters Elizabeth Paine and Dorothy Fitzsimmons. She is survived by her brother, Edward Fitzsimmons, and sister, Mary Ann Poirier, and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Nadine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Mass was held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and interment at San Fernando Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Nadine’s name to: Covenant House, 1325 N. Western Ave., Hollywood,
