Pet of the week

Scarlet is a 3-year-old black and white border collie and pit bull terrier mix. She is a beautiful, sweet girl who enjoys the company of people and dogs alike. Although she wants to spend time inside with her family, Scarlet also needs a home with a yard. Daily exercise is a must for this energetic girl, and activities that challenge her will complement her border collie DNA. Scarlet would be a good addition to a family with older kids, but as always when adopting, please be sure everyone living in the household has a chance to meet her. Contact the Burbank Animal Shelter and inquire about ID No. A035038 for your introduction to Scarlet.

The shelter is at 1150 N. Victory Place, Burbank. For more information, call (818) 238-3340. To view all available pets, visit The shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, and closed major holidays. Adoption fees are dogs, $104; cats, $78; and bunnies, $30, and prices include spaying or neutering, vaccinations and microchip.
