Program collects and wraps gifts for seniors

Home Instead Senior Care is sponsoring Be a Santa to a Senior — a program that collects, wraps and delivers gifts to seniors in Burbank, Glendale and Toluca Lake.

Through Dec. 19, residents can purchase gifts for local seniors that Home Instead Senior Care will deliver with the help of volunteers. The gifts will be delivered to seniors on Dec. 19.

“Many older adults continue to struggle in a down economy, particularly those who live alone with no family nearby to help provide resources,” said Gary Reid, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Burbank, Glendale and Toluca Lake.

On Dec. 14 and 15, community members are invited to help wrap the gifts that will be delivered.
