Four people — including a 16-year-old boy with a handgun and drugs — were arrested Saturday after allegedly spray-painting gang graffiti in a tunnel underneath a freeway in Glendale, police said.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, someone called police to report a group of people tagging inside a tunnel underneath the Golden State (5) Freeway near Cosmic Way and Justin Avenue, where authorities reportedly found “fresh” graffiti referencing a local criminal street gang, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

In the area, police detained two men — Glendale resident Raymond Trigueros, 22, and Fontana resident Ricardo Ruiz, 26 — along with the armed juvenile and a 38-year-old Glendale woman named Ana Arroyo.

All four were arrested on suspicion of vandalism for the benefit of a gang.

The juvenile was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and narcotics, both of which were seized by police.
