Public invited to Sons of Norway dinner

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- The Sons of Norway, Edvard Grieg Lodge No. 74,

invites the public to its annual “Torsk & Meatball Dinner.”

Happy Hour will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday,

Feb. 23 at the American Legion Memorial Hall, 4011 La Crescenta Ave., La

Crescenta. The dinner costs $15 per adult.

Entertainment at the dinner will be provided by TV personality

“Webster Webfoot,” also known as Jimmy Welden. The puppet character will

present a motivational program designed to entertain both adults and

children.

“Patriotism” is the theme of this year’s table-decorating contest.

Tables will be decorated in red, white and blue, but patrons are invited

to bring their own patriotic candlestick or holder to use as a

centerpiece.
