GLENDALE -- Glendale Police were searching Monday for an 83-year-old
woman with Alzheimer’s who walked away from her home the day before.
Estefania Caampued walked away at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the 1300
block of Graynold Avenue, where she lives with her family, police said.
She is described as Filipino, 4-foot-11 and 90 pounds with brown hair
and brown eyes, police said. She was wearing a white short-sleeve
T-shirt, blue tights with a flower print and blue slippers when she
walked away, police said.
Caampued has high blood pressure and Alzheimer’s and does not respond
to her name or know her telephone number, police said.
She does not speak English and believes that she is still in the
Philippines, police said.
Caampued has previously walked away and was found at Toll Middle
School, less than a half-mile from her home, police said.
Anyone with information about Caampued’s whereabouts is asked to call
Investigator Tony Futia at 548-3987.
