Vivien Thelin and her husband, Howard, built the first house on Robin

Glen Drive in northwest Glendale in 1962. They had their choice of

lots on the newly opened street, which was “out in the wilds with

deer and snakes. Other lots had gorgeous views, but I wanted to be

closer to Hillcrest Avenue and other people.” Their closest neighbor

was Arthur Campbell, whose hilltop house was accessible off of

Highland Avenue. Thelin said the area was developed by K.S. Robinson

after a large house on Hillcrest was demolished to provide access.
