Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre is offering students a chance to win some valuable prizes for themselves and their teachers by entering an essay contest themed to the new Disney/Walden Media fantasy feature, “Bridge to Terabithia.”

Based on the popular Newbery Award-winning novel, “Bridge to Terabithia” is a fantasy, adventure story of friendship, family and the power of imagination from the producers of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

The engagement is scheduled to run from Feb. 16th through March 29th. Participants can enter the essay contest by providing answers and descriptions to the following essay question — “If You Ruled a Land of Make-Believe, What Would You Name It and Why?”

The prizes being offered are two 20 inch iMac computers (grand prize); two Kodak EasyShare digital cameras and printers (first prize), two $200 gift certificates for Disney’s Soda Fountain and Studio Store (second prize), and two Walt Disney Home Entertainment Packs valued at $120 (third prize). Contestants must purchase a ticket to see “Bridge to Teribithia” at the El Capitan Theatre and be residents of California. A panel of three judges will select the winners on or about May 14th.
