Red Cross offers child CPR class

The Glendale-Crescenta Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a child and infant CPR class from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Monday at 1501 S. Brand Blvd., Glendale. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance, in person.

Athlete to speak at prayer breakfast

The 45th annual Glendale Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will feature Ann Meyers Drysdale, widow of former Dodger and Hall of Fame pitcher Don Drysdale, at the Hilton Glendale.

Doors open at 6 a.m. Thursday with breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and program at 7 a.m. Drysdale earned a silver medal as part of the first women’s Olympic basketball team in 1976 representing the United States and played in the Pan America and World Championship games.

‘Peace pole’ to be dedicated at church

Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church members will gather with the Korean congregation of Hansarang United Methodist Church and friends from Christ Armenian Church to dedicate a peace pole.

The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. March 23 at Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church, 2700 Montrose Ave., La Crescenta.

Easter worship begins at 10 a.m. in English and at noon in Korean. Christ Armenian Church will celebrate Easter at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 4441 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta.
